Bristish Withdrawal ??

Post by sjadow »

I play as allies with only the West Coast & Central Pacific under human control. When a British Withdrawal was called for, no ship was withdrawn ( I expected the computer to do this for me because it controls the British ships). Now I'm hit with a big Polital Point penalty.

I tried to go to Karachi and withdraw the requested BB manually. But no "wothdrawal option" appeared on the ship deatil screen (even though I toggled human control on and off trying to make it appear)

I expect this will all happen again next month. What can I do to withdraw the appropriate ship??

Thanks......

Just stick the ships in Karachi and leave them there. At the end of the month, the computer will take them away for you. Only the computer can take them.

I tried the stick them in Karachi and the computer takes them away at the end of the month...it didn't happen. I never checked to see if a button comes up that allows them to withdrawn though and I'm hoping next time I have to withdrawl ships it works because I lost a lot of PPs.

Thanks ckk, I'm actually looking forward to my next withdrawl so I can make sure and do it right. I had enough PPs to release the 2nd USMC division or a NZ or AUS Div and it was all wasted.

Changing it from the South Pacific or is there a new OOB I don't know about since my game started under 1.00 and I only patched to 1.21? [&:]

The withdraw button appears on the bottom next to the scuttle button for the possible ships.

Make sure to disband any TF they may be in - the button only appears when the ship is in port, not in a docked TF.

And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

[X(] Why West Coast when they were actually Central Pacific and were used at Tarawa?

In 1.3 2nd Marine starts in San Diego as South Pacific in a reduced state. However it costs 0 PP's to convert it to any command West Coast CENTPAC etc.[;)]

I "started" a new game with 1.21 and the 2nd Marine Division started off in San Diego assigned to the South Pacific in that version too.

I don't know if it's just me then or what, but the 2nd USMC Div is HQ West Coast right now. It started in San Diego, but I moved it to LA. And no I did not change it to west coast. I was saving up PPs to change it to central or south pacific, but that got screwed up when I thought all you ahd to do to withdrawl British ships is leave them in Karachi disbanded. On the plus side, I didn't lose a CA and 2 DDs.

What scenario did you start playing? I started my test 1.21 game using the campaign that begins on 7 December 1941 - think scenario 15.

It's scenario 16. Maybe that's it, but I don't know. I'm working on a new PBEM first turn as allies for scenario 16 and the 2nd USMC division is HQ central pacific (I think, either that or south, but definately not West Coast).
