I hope all you clowns are doing well and staying as warm as you can this winter. I haven't done any more yard work since the end of December, but I've been keeping busy with indoor activities. I've finally been able to move my model railroad from the "thinking about it" stage to getting construction underway for the first part. The layout will eventually be two levels, with a helix of 6 loops connecting the two levels. Here is a picture of the base structure for the helix. It will have a plywood surface except for the access opening in the middle. Hopefully, I'll have some plywood mounted and at least the first loop of the helix to show you guys soon.

The layout will be N Scale (1:160) and this helix base is 54" square. The loops will be 48" in diameter and will rise 16" from the base (lower) level to the upper level.
