Political aid truck card (unit feat) question

Post by arvcran2 »

What is the point of giving a unit 40% political bonus?

Actually I read the table wrong: but what does the car do?

Political Aid Truck:

Troops they are embeded with can at most lose 25% of their readiness points during combat.

Ratio 1:5

It is a truck send to aid the soldiers by a political party.

I do not see how "Political Aid Truck" would be a poor name for that.

Why would soldiers need a "political aid truck", though...

Honestly, the unit feats are one of the most ridiculous parts of the game. Almost every feat looks like a mockery designed specifically to ridicule the game. Fortunately, it's easy to ignore the feats almost completely.

I like them a lot, and I wish there was even more of them.

Because it is such a positive impact, it prevents them from loosing more then 25% readiness per combat.

I assume that he's failing to try to find a believably-sounding headcanon for those ?

I couldn't disagree more with all of this if I tried.

You may want to look into the sowjetunions politbureau and how they embeded political officers besides military officers to keep them in line. Anyone questioning these dudes ended up in a Gulag in Siberia and that is how 75% rediness at all times is achieved ;) they just keep people on their toes hrhrhrhr

Thanks for your replies guys. It looks like I am the only one who feels vicarious embarrassment when looking at feats like political aid truck, champion, musical band and many others. But that's not a big issue. As I said earlier, fortunately it's possible to mostly ignore them during the game.
