I think you are gonna disappointed because it's old story and devs are not interested at it as well, IIRC...
In fact the game is kinda limbo right now and no one knows any follow up development is even possible... [>:]

Whan someone can't be bothered with modifying the game we are told 'Norm intended it this way' or 'Norm didn't intend it this way'. Even though many things are done that were or were not intended. [;)]

So unless a 'dev' personally supports something it will never happen because Norm did nor did not intend it that way. [>:]

Hey Lion. When you read between the lines of all the posts about major changes such as leadership and Matrix's refusal to clarify between a patch to Toaw IV and a complete new release you start to wonder. If it is going to be a new release no-one is going to be wondering what my wish was. Either way it doesn't matter to me. If it is a new game I will still buy it.

Bob has made very clear that he has no intention of ever implementing hex-side rivers. So don't hold your breath...

Hexside Rivers!

Aye. Rivers through the hexes make no sense at all.

If I enter a hex with a river and no road I pay extra because I've moved across the river. Yet if I attack out of that same hex I'm penalized for doing so. Even though I'm already across the bloody river. Maybe the cost should be applied for leaving the river hex, not entering it.

If I move up or down a river from one adjacent hex to another I have to pay for crossing the river again and again and again regardless of scale. Bob (the spin doctor) says it's because the river meanders. As if a units leader is so stupid as to not follow a river's course so crosses the river over and over. [:D]

Many cities are on one side of a river or another. To accomplish that a city has to be displaced by however many kilometers the hex scale is.

If a road and a river are in the same hex you can cross the river at no cost even if there is no bridge.

Those are just the bizarro world examples off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others.

I wish that all bugs, primarily in the editor, be fixed BEFORE the herd is guided in the direction of purchasing a new version of the game with the SAME DAMNED BUGS!

Yeah but IIRC it also prints out a lot more, and not in the greatest format. You can also save the OOB by itself into raw XML, but again, the format is not great (raw XML).
