Submarine weapons reload priority

Post by George Patton »

Hi,

I have an american SSN with all the 6 torpedo tubes loaded with Mk.48s. It's possible to change some Mk.48s with Tomahawks without first firing them?

If you go into weapons, select a torpedo tube, then drop down the list of weapons, you'll see a check mark for reload priority. If you click on that, the sub will reload the tube with the weapon you selected if there any in the magazine.

btw, its on pg 247 in the manual. Great way to find things in the manual is do a search on a key word. In this case, "priority". Only three returns and one of them landed right on the reload priority description.

Once you've done that, give it a few seconds to kick in and you will see the reloading time displayed in the weapons menu

That's what I thought and what I've done. There is maybe something wrong in my procedure. [&:][&:][&:]

Make sure there are actually tomahawks in the magazine.

Hi George Patton

Is your magazine full?

If it is, there´s no room to unload the tube you want to reload.
Try removing a weapon from the magazine and see if the tube starts to reload.

This behavior have changed lately, so I have reported it to the devs, so they can take a look at it, just in case[;)]

Hi

Can you share your save game?
It makes it a lot easier to see if you´re doing something wrong, or there is a bug.

Hi.

I Have 4 Harpoon, 4 TLAM C Block II and 4 TLAM C Block III. In the torpedo tube I selected i.e. an Harpoon, but nothing changed... There is sure something I'm doing wrong

But is your Sub's magazine full? Simple example. Submarine with 4 tube and 16 spaces in the magazine. Current load as folloes.

Tube 1 - 1 Mk48
Tube 2 - 1 Mk48
Tube 3 - 1 Mk48
Tube 4 - 1 Mk48

Magazine - 4 Mk48, 4 Harpoon, 4 TLAM-C, 4 TLAM-D

In the above example I won't be able to reload a missile as there is no magazine space as 16 weapons are stored. If, for example I have just 3 Mk 48s in the magazine then I have a spot to place the weapon removed from the tube when I select relaod priority for the Harpoon.

You can just BOL launch the Mk48 to free up space.

I'm sure they are not too expensive or anything...[:D]
