Spotting oddities?

Post by Pocus »

I should have named the thread 'spotty spotting' [:'(]

I'm at loss in understanding what are the conditions that trigger the extra spotting range of CV and CVE.

Here is a pictural example. One of the two CV triggered her range 3 spotting, not the other. None did a cruise btw.

First movement of any unit uses the full spotting range. Subsequent moves only reveal 1 extra hex.

The belief being that it stops ‘creeping’

that's smart. I was wondering what was the mechanism which would avoid the painful micro-managing of moving one hex at a time, to not bump into something. Good to know and makes sense, from a QOL standpoint.
