[1.06.08] workers - lack of emuneration bad tooltip ?

Post by melvikus »

1. So, I have got 30% income taxes and 0.007 wages for workers.
In my capital was malus to happiness - 1 (malus due lack of remuneration)

2. If i decreased tax to 20% than malus changes to bonus +1 to happiness:

3. Than if i increased to 30 % tax and set salaries for workers to 0.03 (maximum)
i have got malus -1 due to lack of remuneration

4. At the end i set tax to 30% and salaries to 0.001 (less than private) and i have got
same malus -1 to happiness

So absolute wages for workers isnt so important like changing of taxes ? This malus means something like taxes too high or i need to wait more turns than one (but set up taxes to 10% was reacted right next round) ?

Did you actually have enough credits in your treasury to pay the wages?

"Renumeration" is worker salaries relative to private Economy Salaries. Wich can be very different between cities.

Ideally is 1 miliCred for Private workers. But 2 miliCreds can happen. And I have seen up to 7 miliCreds for private workers - at severe shotages of private workers.

its very difficult to upload pictures here :)

**photos.app.goo.gl*wd2PR4VEpb2HzH52A

(htt ps + * for / i am not allowed to post links, but its impossible to upload pictures here :D)

worker salary : 0.03
private income: 0.001
income tax: 30 %
18 k on hand and log for zone doesnt wrote that workers dont get paid
still -1 happines for renumeration

In pictures is that i have enought many. Big worker wages. Low private wages and 30 % income tax.

If i change to 20 % income tax. From malus is bonus. Its weird for me

(i have to young account to upload links and files here)

I'm seeing the same thing in 1.06.05: Worker happiness dropping because of "lack of remuneration", despite salaries at 0.003 and private economy income at 0.002.

This is my experience as well.. Couldn't get the happiness up even though all cities had 3+millicredit above the worker salary.

I get happiness up if they have 4+ over the Private Worker Salary. Wich is also very close to the initial difference (1 and 5 at game start, IIRC).
Maybe you are just being to stingy with a mere +3?
Maybe the stingyness formula is bugging out?

In any case, the Tooltip just telling us the expected amount would go a long way.

After approximately turn 100 to 110 in a recent game, I started having this same problem. Several of my zones were reporting -2 or -3 worker happiness point drops turn over turn, mostly due to "lack of remuneration." This gradually eroded happiness in several of my zones down towards 40 points and seemingly ready to go even lower. Raising worker wages from 0.006 to 0.01 had essentially no lasting effect. My treasury was capable of paying all of them (over 60,000 credits saved), yet I kept seeing this reason listed for the worker happiness drops, almost as if I was not paying them or that these levels were below the levels paid in the private economy (they were not - almost all were within 0.003 credits and no zones had private economies that paid more than 0.01). I was only running a 30% income tax and no sales tax.

This was in 1.06.05 - latest stable.
