"Mare Nostrvm" vs GMT's "War Galley"

Greetings,
Can anyone render an opinion regarding "Mare Nostrvm" as compared
to GMT's "War Galley" board game? Looking for opinions as regards
comparable difficulty, depth of play, etc.

Hello, I am not the proper person to give an opinion, just say that GMT's War Galley was a primary source for making this game [:)]

The fundamental difference is that Richard Berg's game is IGOUGO, and Mare Nostrum is WEGO.
