We are working together with original programmer John Tiller to bring you this updated edition.
the original talosoft WF gold had the scenario hard luck on the rivera in it. The John Tiller Version hasn't this scenario. I have copied the scenario in the JTCS but in the first turn the game has a crash to desktop. Isn't WF gold compatible to JTCS?
What can I do to play this scenario in JTCS?
It may be that the OOB does not sync to the latest versions in JTCS.
Honestly, this is the first time I've heard that stock scenarios were removed from the later versions of JTCS.
Sad. Really.
So much energy devoted to put in lots of unbalanced scenarios from other games and no energy devoted to keeping stock scenarios in the game.
Hopefully it can be fixed by the development team, or a modder. The scenario is listed as "stock" on The Blitz site and does not have files that can be downloaded. I'll look for my old "gold" disk and see if I can repeat your experience.
If you remove the files from you game folder do you have any other scenarios crash your system?

Try this version. I took it from my Europe In Flames CD. I tested it on both JTCS 1.04 and 2.02. It works on both for me. Change the txt file to zip file and load it with JSGME.
I played it again from both sides against the A/I. The game didn't crash but the A/I simply refused to move any more after turn two. I've seen Campaign Series act in crazy ways over the years. Depending upon which version and operating system used, some Talonsoft scenarios play fine while others don't. However this is a good scenario (Doug Bevard made some classics!)and should be converted to Matrix JTCS so it can be enjoyed by all. This needs some further attention for sure.
