Allied Landing Craft usage

Post by bush »

I am setting up some short amph assaults from Suva to Funafuti and company. Created (built?) landing craft to compliment the few APs I have in this sector. However, when trying to create the actual Amph TF, the landing craft (LCT/LCM) are not allowed membership. Wow! If I can only assign them to Transport TFs they sure lose a lot of their utility, IMO.

You can assign them to either "landing craft" TF or to "barge" TF. They are useful in that they will drop most unit on the beach in a half turn. LSTs LCI can go into these TFs along with small patrol craft but otherwise no other ships.

You can create Landing Craft and Barge TFs as well.

I believe you can put them together with other TF's with the "follow" function. Or vice versa.
