The fellow on top is Spanky McFarland from the Little Rascals. The fellow on the bottom is Prince George. Do you know what Spanky's real first name is? George.

I have a time machine. I live near Ted Drewe's but I've never actually had any. I've lived near it for 30 years. I've lived within maybe 5 miles for 40 years. In the STL metro area 44 years. Which is more important, to find out for myself how good it is, or to maintain my record? Everybody raves about it. Maybe it's the lines. Most of the time looks like you'd have to stand in line for an hour before placing your order. Especially after a Cardinals game. The area has a lot of Catholics, so you see couples with maybe 10 or 12 kids standing in line. I'm not much of a dessert person but I have to go to "Da Hill" for my Italian food fix often. If I have dessert it may well be spumoni.

Maybe it's because I'm a reptile, not a mammal?

I've never been to Tony's either, our 5 star restaurant.

The bouncers have something against lizards who've lost their tails.

For those of you who don't know I'll name three of the kids in this photo. I don't remember who the first one on the left is, but the second is "Buckwheat". He is well known for changing his name to Kareem of Wheat. The next is "Alfalfa" and the last is Spanky.

Route 66 is still here but it is missing an extraordinarily important landmark, The Coral Courts Motel. It had stand alone units that had their own garages so you could avoid having your wife see your car when you were having an important meeting with your secretary. Some famous hoodlums stayed there on the lam. It was beautiful but seedy. I couldn't believe the preservationists didn't save it. I am still in mourning.

As a reptile I am assuming that Gorns have only scorn for some of the mammaries the rest of us attempt to hold so dear!!
