- 0007880: Crash when using zones
- 0007910: Freezes during tutorial after activation of No-Nav Zone
- 0008088: Tanking fix broke 3rd rule
- 0008058: Dipping Passive Sonar (Build 554)
- 0008091: [560] Units in ferry missions stay with the tankers instead of follow the mission
This update is defined by two significant improvements.
1) Speed. Major portions of the core execution pipeline have been re-architected to optimize performance and scalability. The boost is most noticeable on "heavy" scenarios (not just in terms of number of units but also activity, e.g. numerous concurrent pathfinding processes, everybody jamming and scanning everybody etc.). Stability is also improved.
2) Air Refueling fixes. You asked for smarter and more dependable refueling AI & mechanics, and we listened.
The list of tweaks & improvements is too long to list here, but three major changes stand out:
a) Crews are now context-aware in their logic of picking the most suitable tanker. Depending on what the aircraft is supposed to be doing (enroute to mission, returning, free-roaming, on patrol, on support circuit etc.) the optimal choice is often significantly different.
b) Tankers are now smart enough to avoid overbooking (and thus getting completely drained). They now reject refuelling requests that they estimate they will not be able to service.
c) Aircraft returning from a mission (e.g. strikers on the RTB leg) will opt to bypass available tankers and head straight for their home bases if possible. This lightens the load on available tanker assets and eliminates the need to manually change the "use refuel" doctrine mid-mission. If they do need to refuel on the return leg they do as before.
You can download the update HERE or HERE . You must first have Command v1.04 installed before applying this update.

RE: NEW PUBLIC RELEASE: BUILD 562
Wow! You guys really work fast (and manage to keep my addiction [:D])
RE: NEW PUBLIC RELEASE: BUILD 562
Downloaded, installed, and tried a totally automated mission that required aerial refueling. Worked like a charm, and I didn't need to do anything except put the tanker in the right spot.
RE: NEW PUBLIC RELEASE: BUILD 562
Great! [:D]
RE: NEW PUBLIC RELEASE: BUILD 562
Hmm... I can't install the update. When I click on the executable nothing happens. I downloaded it twice and unpacked it before trying. Anybody got any tips?
Btw, running Windows 8.1

It not an installer. Please copy the files to your command directory. Please make sure you overwrite the files when asked.

Thanks Mike! Thought it was like the previous installations so I didn't reflect on that... [:)]
It works now!

Hi Folks,
Yeah - tested last night a bit with Raven 21 - tankers ops seemed to go pretty well... I'll have to try it with that downtown Hanoi scenario again...
Thanks for the update...
Regards,
Scott

Thanks guys, great update. I notice that the "planes always RTB when Bingo" hasn't yet been fixed. Wondering if that will be addressed?

RE: NEW PUBLIC RELEASE: BUILD 562
can anyone tell me how i'm doing this wrong? I've downloaded the build (tried both downloads) so I got the command.exe, command.exe.config, and obeservableDictionary.ddl.
So i click the command.exe in the zip and it gives me the publisher can't be verified do you want to run this software, of course I do, i'll get the little loading circle next to my cursor for a few seconds but nothing happens.
So ok, so I tried the next thing I could think of and that was to just copy the command.exe in the physical game file. (I assume this is the wrong way to put a patch in of course) load the game and it gives me this error.

any suggestions. I haven't done a build update since early after I bought the game and usually just wait for a full release through the game update which I do have 1.04.
If i need to post this in the tech support section, will do. Thanks for any help!

RE: NEW PUBLIC RELEASE: BUILD 562
Yeah after 1.04 we started a new pile.
RE: NEW PUBLIC RELEASE: BUILD 562
You need to copy those three files into your command folder. Please overwrite the existing files when asked
