DW Universe: Azurian's Movie Fix (Only Logos / Disable Movie )

This replaces the intro movie in Distant Worlds Universe with either a 10 second or 1 second version. This might help save up RAM and you will enjoy starting the game without having to click to close the intro movie.

Only Logos Only the first 11 seconds of the intro movie with the Matrix Games and Codeforce logo are shown.

Disabled Replaces the movie file with a 1 second version that effectively disables the intro movie.


Instructions

1. Go to Distant Worlds Universe\movies
2. Backup "distantworldsintro.wmv". I recommend you put it in a .zip file.

3. Download the movie fix from Mediafire:

4. In the .zip you downloaded there are two files:

A. distantworldsintro(logos).wmv
B. distantworldsintro(disabled).wmv

Choose the version you want and RENAME it to distantworldsintro.wmv


As you can see below if you choose Only Logos the movie will be 11 MB in size (134 MB reduction) and if Disabled (144 MB reduction). I am not a computer programmer but this might help save RAM and speed up the loading of the game.
