German Army airbases

Post by vinnie71 »

I have noticed (in 42) that I can't assign any more recon planes to German Army airbases. However, the first time I noticed it was when 2 Army unfroze and became playable in '41. Is this WAD?

Yes. If you want to assign a recon plane first assign it to a regular airbase, then move it to the army airbase the next turn. The reason for this change is a bug that was discovered quite some time ago when the army HQ would get massive amounts of fuel if you assigned bombers etc. to the army airbase (if I remember it correctly).

Thanks a lot! Was on the point of dissolving these bases but had no idea where to put the recon planes. Pity the Axis side does not spawn additional airbases like the other side...
