Heads Up - Wargamer is Flagging Unsafe Again
I just followed the link from the Operation Barbarossa thread here to the design notes at Wargamer.
This time Norton helped out.
I got a nice big red cross X THIS SITE IS UNSAFE!
FYI friends.

Thanks for the info I was about to check that site as I usually do daily (But haven't since the internet attack)
But when Territories are acquired in regions where there are differences in language, customs, and laws then great good fortune and much hard work are required to hold them.

I think it's a false alarm this time, as far as I know they checked the site again yesterday and no one could confirm this latest report by Norton. Could be this is somehow still reporting the original problem and has not been updated.

I wish I could tell you more Erik.
On the weekend Norton didn't flag anything and I got hit.
Norton Internet Security had a 59mb download today and now it flags the site (on my system at least).
The URL I attached came from Googling "The Wargamer". Norton rates each site Google then lists as safe, TBA or unsafe.

Computer condoms. The only way to be safe. And avoid unwanted little consoles.
"Lose" is the opposite of "win." "Loose" is the opposite of "tight."

AVG says it is safe. You need to update your AV.

Thanks Dave.
Hi Erik, I'm ckear - I think Wargamer needs to contact Symantec to get their name of the blacklist.
I remember a religious site I used to visit being blocked by Norton Parental Control once as a sex site. Damn begetting!

Yes. Look at the URL right under the AVG window in my post image. It shows www.wargamer.com. I also ran Google just typing in "wargamer.com" and www.wargamer.com links came up and they all were marked safe. I guess I was getting The Wargamer and Wargamer.com.aus mixed.ORIGINAL: Adam Parker
Dave, can you Google www.wargamer.com or "the wargamer".
I don't see the right URL in your list.

There is definitely something going on.
I was over at the Bethesda forums when User account control asked if i wanted to allow Microsoft mail..and then it gave an error as i had never installed it in the first place.
I've been having a lot of lag when going online but i'm not sure if its a virus or Verizon cutting back on bandwidth.

Speaking of bandwidth I wonder when the day is coming back we get so many minutes a month for free and then a charge of $1.25 a minute afterwards? [:'(]
RE: Heads Up - Wargamer is Flagging Unsafe Again
I would recommend switching norton to somthing like bitdefender. My last experience with norton was on my work pc where we were unable to remove it completelty. It stucks to pc like plague. It left somkind of firewall into it and I was unable to use remote helpdesk.

Norton gave me a warning at the Wargamer too... then again, not one anti virus program is 100% foolproof.
RE: Heads Up - Wargamer is Flagging Unsafe Again
Zakhal: My google search turned up a few "Norton removal tools" which should solve your problem at work. I used one of them a few months back and I am now Norton free....FWIW good luck

I know about those tools and tried them too but they didnt work. Norton still persisted. The program tried to periodacly update itself even after all the uninstalls and removels. [X(]ORIGINAL: planner 3

This was of course 3 years ago. I dont have the same work computer or work in the same place anymore so its not an issue anymore.

Something like this happened to me, it was a popup I think. I tried to kill it using every non click method I knew and it didn't die. I think I did the cntl-alt-del and picked it off the apps tab and killed it that way. Or I just left it there and rebooted which promped a safe message box to kill it. I'm not sure which method I used but it hasn't affected me so far.
