Battlefront Versions of Combat Mission

I have been playing the CM series for 20 years and purchased pretty well all of them from Battlefront. I don't have any Matrix versions. I do not want to play CM through Steam and will continue to play my Battlefront versions PBEM using Dropbox.
I was planning to purchase the new scenario pack for CMBN and am wondering how or if it would work considering that I do not have the Matrix version of CMBN.

I gathered from the email announcement that you either must have the Matrix games launcher version, or the Steam version moving forward.
Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.

Indeed that seems to be the case. Any current BFC installs you have will keep on working though so there is no need to rush our and transition right away. I might start doing that just to keep up to date but even then I'm not going to be in a rush. The OP, however, is planning a purchase so like @GeneralJackRipper says that purchase will trigger having to move to the Matrix / Slitherine install.

I recommend reading the Slitherine buys BFC FAQ and following the instructions and make sure you know where to get support should you need it.
