Edit unit stats.

Hi Team,

Apologies is this has already been asked, but regarding modding, will it be possible to edit unit stats? Eg. dimensions, armour value / images ?

Not on the team. But I just checked. They are editable.

Oh man, if that's the case then you can essentially create brand new vehicles! New calibers and whatnot!
Coupled with map making options, I might indeed buy this.

There is so much potential to take what OTS has provided and go to town modifying it to fit or more to meet your desires. I am sure the mod guides will be available soon and if you aren't sure check them out. Here's a hint: they're taking so long cause there is so much stuff to mod... :mrgreen:

...and the guy doing them is busy with code fixes and other things, but yes, I will be getting those out in a few weeks. Once you know the ins and outs, pretty much anything can be modded.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

If I was to get into modding it, it would be a future mod.

Thing is though, if you're making a new weapons platform, say a tank for eg, and you're able to edit barrel length, caliber size, etc, does the game simulate ballistics to that degree? I hope it would, but I expect it doesn't, that would just be nuts.

Like, on the off chance, someone makes a Warhammer 40K tanks mod. They try to re-create a Predator tank....

You would have to supply your own info for effects.

We don't have any effects beyond sounds. No 3d assets here either.

Yeah , yeah. Anti armour / soft target effects. Ballistics is fine.

The modding options sound amazing to me already :)
