Raise Popularity for a 1950 Start Date

Rule the Waves III is a simulation of naval ship design and construction, fleet management and naval warfare from 1890 to 1970. and will place you in the role of 'Grand Admiral' of a navy from the time when steam and iron dominated warship design up to the missile age.

Raise Popularity for a 1950 Start Date

Post by blackcloud6 »

I asked over on the Steam discussion forums about the possibility of having a post-WWII start date added to the game. The developer answered with:

"We have considered a circa 1950 start date - later on we can look at that possibility again if the idea gets popular."

So, let's whip up support for this notion!

Absolutely, first thing that struck me when I started the game: 1935… :o

Of course the 1935 start is to allow for a "WWII-era" start, as that was the most requested new start option when we were working on the game. :)

I'm all for a 1950 start. The moment you realize you need to sacrifice your precious BBs (and I DO love them!) because they really are too fragile and expensive to operate in a world filled with aircraft and anti-ship missiles was a great thing to contemplate in my first game. I only wish there was more info on the Missile Age implementation RTW3 has in play.

What additional information on the missile era would you like to see/be useful to you?
