waypoints

Post by bairdlander2 »

This is driving me nuts.I click on a unit, select M,hold down shift key, move cursor to waypoint, click on it no waypoint shows, just a regular move.I move cursor to obj, release shift, still no waypoints showing on map.Any suggestions? Thanks.

bairdlander,

The last waypoint always shows the order icon. So when you select the unit, hit the M key, hold down the Shift key and click the first time on the map, then the order icon will appear where you clicked. If you keep the Shift key down and click again on another location, then you should see the order icon placed at the new location and a waypoint icon appear at the first location. Subsequent clicks while holding down the Shift key will repeat this process, such that the order icon always appears at the current location. Before you place your last desired waypoint, release the Shift key. Then click and you should be done. There should be a series of waypoints ending in an order icon.

Please try this and let me know how you get on. I realise that this would be best demonstrated, but I have't quite finished the BFTB tutorial movies.

How much space are you providing between waypoints? Can we see a screen dump?

Ensure you have the order icons turned on in the Display Toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
