Lowell: Mike Scott (1-2, 4.43)
Richmond: Cliff Lee (3-0, 3.27)

LOW_____7___19___1
RCH_____5___14___1 (13 innings)
Lowell overcame a 5-0 deficit in the 8th inning to stave off elimination in the NLCS. Today, the defending champs pulled off some more magic and tied the series 3-3. Richmond was two outs from the championship, leading 5-3 in the top of the 9th with one out and nobody on base. Rafael Palmeiro and Jack Clark hit back-to-back solo homers off Richmond closer Keith Foulke to tie the game at 5-5. In the top of the 13th, Mariano Duncan and Derrek Lee hit back-to-back doubles to put Lowell in the lead. WORLD SERIES GAME 7

Lowell: Carlos Zambrano (1-1, 2.75)
Richmond: Mark Mulder (1-1, 2.77)

Enough magic left in the hat for one more game? Yes, indeed. The Lowell Moxies won their second title with another come-from-behind victory. Trailing 3-2 with one out in the top of the 9th, Lowell rallied, tagging Keith Foulke for 3 runs in 1/3 of an inning and adding another off Charlie Hough. In the 9th, Miguel Cabrera smacked a 2-run double to put Lowell ahead. Mariano Duncan then added a two-run single for insurance. For Richmond, Jim Rice and Jeff Burroughs hit back-to-back doubles in both the 4th and 6th innings. Carlos Zambrano 8 innings for the win, striking out 8 and walking 3.
