salary scale

I downloaded the 1.83 patch hoping it would fix my issue with salary scale. No such luck. I started my association in 1930 but put salaries in today's dollars. At some point--maybe during the download of a new version of the game?--the salary scale got mixed. Salary caps are still in today's dollars. Signed players' salaries appear in today's dollars. But free agents and contract extensions have switched to 1930's dollars. I was hoping just to run the season out and see what would happen during the off-season, but teams are signing free agents at the mixed up salary and so the whole scale now seems off.
Anyway to fix this?

Does anyone at all have any advice on this? I've got a lot of time invested in my association, and I love Puresim BB! But it's frustrating to not even get a response of "I don't know."

Sorry, somehow I missed this one.
I will add it to the list of stuff to look into. To be clear, I need to create a real player assn in 1930 and set the salary scale to 100%? Have you completed any seasons?

I haven't completed any seasons since the salary scale went haywire, but I'm currently ready to start the playoffs. I've completed 9 seasons previously in this association.

I have had an issue with the "scaling" feature when setting up associations. I have used it in fictional set-ups. Seeing an issue with historical leagues . . . is there a problem with this feature? It always worked for me before 1.76.

Sorry, I didn't finish answering your question. Originally, I implemented a salary cap--it was a mid-level cap. After 9 seasons, the cap is around 200 million. The cap applied evenly to all teams and salaries were in today's dollars. I can't remember exactly the language of the start up page, but I hope you know what I mean. You can tell by looking at my assoc. because most players salaries are in today's dollars but then free agents and contract extensions are listed in what I assume are 1939 dollars. Dizzy Dean was making almost 16 million a year, but I extended his contract for less than 200k/year. Am I making sense?

Eric, did you complete a season with the scale out of whack? If so, what happened?

Actually, I did not complete a season. It had problems making it through the initial draft. Teams ran out of money quickly and had to draft scrubs. This was a fictional association. If I don't mess with the salary scale in the set-up, there were no problems. But, no I did not complete a season. You have me curious about what would happen now.
