Downloaded and played last night. Unbelievably beautiful work. The counters look even better in game when mixed up with one another. The combination of color contrasts and pictures is stunning. It was like I was playing a brand new game.

I like the map also, but it is hard to see the movement numbers and colors. Of course it was January in Russia, somaybe the snow was washing out the numbers and colors for movement.

Thanks again for this mod.

I love the icons and map!!.. But, after playing the game a lil .. I see it makes it very hard to see the underlying map.. can't see fortifications and such.. is there a hot key to hid icons temporarily?

Fantastic counters, they have a wonderful, tactile quality about them and they really do feel very boardgame-ish! One request; is there some manner to better show which units have HQ's directly attached to them?

Have you contacted Volcano and HPS about this?  If not you may have a problem with copyright issues.

Hi everybody,

As a great fan of old style boargames, i'm working on a graphical mode for the game. The objective is to make me feel like playing good old boargames (such "World in Flames" or "Third Reich") on my computer. This is for now a work in progress, but the finished mod well be available soon...

That’s is some outstanding work there damastabongo, just what the doc ordered !

Well done…………well done !

This is weird. I'm unable to get this mod to work. The map looks all black. Can someone offer any suggestions? Thanks!

Whole map is black? During game go to preferences menu, select other map skin that works for you, confirm using OK button, go back to preferences menu, select this skin that does not work, confirm and and close game using "X" button on window if windowed mode, or Ctrl+Alt+Delete and kill game process. Then go to game main folder and send me consoleout.txt file from there, using PW here at forum or by e-mail (bleck[at]wastelands-interative[dot]com)

Kudos to you master bongo! Your mod really brought the game to life, and added a level of visual familiarity that has more or less changed the whole game for me. The boardgame counters simplify the visual process and enhance the level of attachment you have with your units. I found I suddenly cared about the units, rather than have the more drab and sterile (but rather well done) 3d sprites.

I bought Storm over the Pacific, I do hope you continue your excellent modding work with that, and bring another game into my play realm and my heart.

I had the same problem and the fix is simple. Go to where you game is stored. Make sure that the two folders the mod is in: data/gfx/[UnitsSkin]boardgame & data/gfx/[UnitsSkin]boardgame contain just the mod files NOT another folder which then has the mod files.

I love the counters. Very nice graphics. However, one thing I have encountered is that it is difficult to see the star indicating the presence of a leader.
