Just for good measure, the 2 AO that I had fuel them, FOLLOWED them to Baker. The Cruiser TF dealt with them:

RE: Bloody October Continues
Hi, I am getting pounded largely because of fuel problems.
I see Dadman coming (and know he will return) but I can't maintain Tf to oppose him because of a lack of fuel. I have shipped over 750,000 supply to SRA to repair recource/oil but have not yet realized any great return for my investment. I have low aircraft production as well as a hard time replacing LCU TOE .
The vast number of Japanese baes have less then 3k fuel
It takes a lot of fuel to maintain TF on station to intercept and I often have to retire even when I see him coming.
The IJN CA were absent from large battle strictly because of fuel (The BB fought the battle low on fuel)
I should not have attempted Timour but knew the delay would only serve to make it harder later and I can't abide enemy bombers inside the SRA. (I can't move reource and oil in range of them)

Hi, Oil production at Palembang (all of it repaired) Most of the SRA bases are in the same state. (less then 10 percent output and this a result of consuming supply to repair)

Here it is Jan 1943.

RE: Bloody October Continues
Hi, Oil
Game is with Lee Whatley (rougeusmc)
Over 800k supply expended for Palembang so far. I missed auto victory by around 4k points. Largely because I was unable to exploit a very favorable situation because of lack of fuel. In both games no base in SRA has ever had more then 50k fuel (unless it came from Home Islands) and most of them have under 3k. The few transports required to pick up resource and oil drain the bases without getting to 100 percent fuel. (There is none to send to South or Central Pacific)

Very annoying, but realistic. The Japanese had problems getting sufficient fuel pretty much from the beginning.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Are you going to be able to get the ships home?

They're headed for Broome. They should make port. Further action is another story.
RE: Bloody October Continues
I too have suffered the old -everything is destroyed when you capture it syndrome -man it makes a terrific difference to how the game plays out.
I think having a ENG regiment really helps when taking the place -that and having the enemy engineers smashed as well.

Don't you have any P-40s around that could provide some LR CAP for the "wounded"?
