I need to know how to put WitP into Windows. I know it involves placing an "e" at the end of an execute file. Which one specifically?? I'm not very computer literate. [:(][:(]

Second, I could not find a link to Bohdi's Utility??

Thanks in advance. [&o][&o][&o]

Right click on War In The Pacific.exe and select "Send to" Then desktop (create short cut). Right click on the desktop short cut and select "properties" Edit the Rarget field so it reads "C:\Matrix Games\WiTP\War in the Pacific.exe" -w -deepcolor

That should do it.

Assume you want to run WitP in a window.  If so, create a shortcut in which the Target is something like this:

"E:\WitP\War in the Pacific.exe" -w

Obviously you'll need to change the drive and folder details so they point to wherever you installed the game.

Thanks guys for the answers. [&o][&o]

Now for another one. I am trying to use Bohdi's Utility, but I have two installations for WitP. One is for games and mods and a second just for CHS. Is there a way to use this utility for multiple installs?? If so how??

Thanks!![:D]

I have this running in exactly the same set up, so it can be done. I 'think' I installed the utility, then created a new second folder and copied everything into that from the first install. It was then a case of setting the paths in the utility Tools/Options to point to the 'other WITP' install folder and art path.

Hope that helps, and is the answer, its a while since i did it.

I've tried windowed mode and it's insanely slow for me. Anyone ever had this problem? Workarounds, if any?

I'm on an old low mem machine <=1 Gb.

What does the "Deepcolor" do? I run in a window, just curious.

Increases color depth to 32 bit (instead of 16 bit). Looks a little bit better in windowed mode. Basically the blue colors of ocean and coastal water areas blend better.

Try to switch off hexsides (Key F6).
If that doesn't help you're probably out of luck.
WitP apparently has not really been written to be run in windowed mode.
Cheers
