War vets

Post by Kevlarsoul1 »

I was just wondering, how many people here are war veterans or have actually experienced real combat? I'm just 19 and I get the feeling there are a lot of people here who really know how being in a battlefield really feels like.

The best piece of advice I ever got:

"Keep a tight a**hole."
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

All too much, 17.5 years to current in USAF and have been part of every conflict/squirmish since 1985, to include Desert Storm and 19 trips back for flyzone protection. Most recently first to be gone and in place for OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM with a return trip scheduled very soon.
