Fall Blau 1st Scenario

Post by purplehood »

I blew through the normal German and Soviet campaigns with little trouble. But the first scenario of Fall Blau has stumped me numerous times.
I cannot get even a marginal victory, having run out of supplies and time.
I would welcome any positive suggestions. Please help.

Hello,

in the Voronezh scenario timing your breaktroughs and the way you divide up your forces is essential.

In the South it is important to get the engineers to the damaged bridge as soon as possible.
In the North the mobile forces should exploit breaches while the other deal with the entrenched units.
Your airforce is also important - i usually send one unit to the North and leave one unit in the South.
You also should have an eye on your supply - refuel wisely, it can save a whole turn.

Hope this helps a bit.
