Although I started in this hobby with wargames, I've been playing SF and fantasy games almost exclusively for years. This is the first historical wargame I've been excited about in a long time. I can't wait to get it!

very nice!
the only small thing: i would like to get away with the mahagony table and have just something more neutral there as the map and counters are allready very colorful

It is my dream that materializes! Is the PC game more similar to ASL.Years ago ,in a moment of madness,I start to program a PC ASL with the aid of an easy programming method named Gamemaker (Delphi language based).I was at good point, but some error in the calculation of the LOS at different levels and the number of files plus what remain to do, maid me desist from the completion.
Anyway was a good exercise to understand what is behind a program.
Now with this game i hope to use my time to play and also to create new scenarios if Matrix give us the tools.[:)]

acropora...no map editor mate...

LnL is nowhere near as indepth boardgame as ASL..so don't expect it to be like it.

At one point ATSwas under consideration by the ATS designer for a PC game..but they decided not too. Would be great if Slitherine had a chat with them abotu it as thats abotu as close as we will come. What with Paradox owning PC SL rights.

Well... the more I poke around in the editor, you can definately build new scenarios on existing maps. But there might be a way to build new maps too.... I need to check into this first to see if I can talk about it and second to see how to do it.

As explained in other post I don't expect a copy of ASL,is impossible, due to the number of rules,to reproduce this game in a PC game with AI(I think). Also L&L is L&L,another brand and can't be ASL[:D].
Anyway i'm expect something similar also in the future modules for other front.
About the map i trust in this words
But there might be a way to build new maps too....

What is ATS?

Now is clear, never seen this game.Since 20 years i don't follow the board game is the first time that i heard this name.
I know that Criticalhit was involved in some scenario pack for ASL in the past.

ATS divides ASL players opinion..some actually moved over to ATS..others see it as the threat. I hear it's alot easier on the rules front but still plays very well indeed. I've always fancied the Stalingrad version. It would be a definite buy from me if a PC conversion was done.

Gamesquad have a forum for the game.
