This game is 100 years old. Why are you still selling it for full price?

LOL.

Because although it's 12 years old it's still best in class :-) - but I wouldn't pay full price for it today because no support.

The other day it was £6-something which is what, US$8? I would just keep an eye open for the sales. Every now and then you can get it for bargain bucket money.

This is where I think developers, but mainly publishers are missing a trick.

Games like these are very specialist - they only appeal to a select type of player to begin with. But retaining full retail price on the store for a game that is over twelve years old, is simply going to deter potential new customers even further. Why not make efforts to attract more new players to your back catalogue of titles?

They should have a moving policy of circa 10 years after a game has been released - those popular titles should be revisited and re-released on a budget label. Ideally (though I know this often wouldn't be possible) - built for native support of the currently available O/S and better resolution support.

I for one would really like to try this game, having a interest in WW2 and the Pacific Theatre in particular. But there's no way that I'll pay full price on something this old. 50% off and I may have considered it.

Similarly - War in The Pacific - Admiral's Edition. Just nope - even with the scale and complexity put into the game. At its current, non-shifting price, it can stay there.

I'd happily contribute what I've created for this game to a cheapo freebie as long as I get a shout out.

Here's my Iceland invasion and Falklands War terrain maps.
