DECEMBER 1917: RUSSIAN FRONT

Evidently I miscounted.....Germany had 2 Blue Cross gas attacks left and used both of them to capture another Russian food hex....now I have a shortage of 3 food per turn for Russia. No matter how heavily entrenched you are or how much you outnumber the attacker the gas attack trumps everything AND is irresistable. Lol...my TE troops need Blue Cross Health to recover from Blue Cross gas.

But thats OK....Germany has now used up ALL her gas attacks and her counteroffensive potential is greatly reduced.....TE offensives are now ordered across the western and Italian fronts.

DECEMBER 1917: WESTERN FRONT

The Allies push across the Rhine. A new weapon, termed a "tank", has just come into production and will be tested on the German trenches next impluse.

In the Middle East, Bagdad and Mosul are captured and TE troops advance to the outskirts of Ankara.

Romania surrenders.

Nice AAR. It looks like the TE are on the road to victory-depending on how fast the Germans can redeploy to the west. I would speculate that Germany is still in "good" condition and may be at an advantage now that Russia is out of the picture.

Maestro....Russia is fielding as many corps on the frontline now as she has had during the entire war and is still rated"strong".
In fact, Im building new Rusian infantry corps every turn.

Germany on the other hand is rated "weak".

MARCH 1918: WESTERN FRONT.....THE NORTH

Germany pulls back to reform their defensive line in the west. The TE liberate Liege, Brussels and Luxemburg.

Apparently my tanks have reached level 2 tech as I am now able to reinforce them with armaments to a strength of 2.

MARCH 1918: WESTERN FRONT....THE SOUTH

The TE captures Verdun and Metz.

Farther south, they unhinge the German trench line just north of Switzerland and threaten to link up with the TE troops on the Italian front.

MARCH 1918: THE MIDDLE EAST

The Ottoman Empire surrenders and apparently British held territory now abuts Russian held territory.....but still we cannot send industrial points to help Russia.

I read "Rumania surrenders" as Russia-my mistake. It sounds like the Kaiser needs to appeal to President Wilson-very soon.

I'm amazed he came back after Russia was knocking at the gates of Berlin...  taking back all that lost land must have cost him dearly.  no wonder the Western Front went quiet!

I'm playing a pbem at the moment as Germany, it looks like its going to 1919.  But my armies are totally shattered!  I look on your neat rows of 18 strength Russians with envy, with me its 3s, 6s, 9s, and the occasional 24, with a lot of rotation going on to keep something like a defence going...

EU Banana...thanks for your comments. About the only thing that my Russian 1914 offensive accomplished was saving Paris....but that was enough.

As Russia, I had to use all my industrial points to build armaments and trenches....there have not been enough points to launch an offensive in 2 years and I havent been able to ship any industrial points over to Russia from the western Allies at all. Now that Turkey is gone, Ive been able to ship British units and HQs to Russia and a British HQ just activated the first TE offensive on the Russian Front in over 2 years this turn:

JUNE, 1918: RUSSIAN FRONT

Led by the activation of a British HQ, Russia luanches its first offensive in over 2 years:

JUNE 1918: THE BALKANS:

The TE landed troops in Athens 6 months ago to shore up a wavering Greece. After recapturing Salonika, the CP rushes reinforcements here and creates another stalemate. Now the CP has commited an inordinate amount of strength here....looks like they want the TE out of the Balakans once and for all>
