Late June '63 Mississippi/Tennessee

There were several moments where I was ready for the taking. Twice arrival of troops from Virginia made important contribution. In late spring of '63 I think I was secure.

The biggest army lost it's CO though. McDowell, who ended as a 3-2-2, fell off his horse and ended up locked somewhere in NJ. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

My NM was going up. The West Virginia event helped a lot. But the EP was costing me VPs.

Rosecrans, thanks to my forgetting supply wagons, was too far from the Louisville depot. I did get a depot built there at the end.

I ended with a few hundred recruits, but very low on money. Having the choice of new units or replacements, I choose the latter.

Leaving Grant in Island 10 was not one of my smarter moves, but, live and learn.

Not making Hooker a Corps commander was just plain boneheaded. The whole point of sending him and Burnside against coastal forts is to get them promoted ASAP. Hooker got it, and it just plain slipped my mind.

I recommend Kamil as a worthy opponent.

Watched a documentary on beavers. Best dam documentary I've ever seen.
