Gun Range in Gettysburg

Post by milkweg »

Why do confederates have gun range of 5 but Union only 3?

I watched this documentary on civil war guns and found no reason why the game does this.

Correction: after further play I see some Union have a range of 5 too. I guess they are modelling smooth bore and rifled guns which accounts for different ranges. The documentary above is worth a watch.

Rifles have a range of 5, muskets a range of 2, and Union cavalry carbines have a range of 3. But I guess you figured that out.
