Why is this game's forum so quiet?

From the creators of Crown of Glory come an epic tale of North Vs. South. By combining area movement on the grand scale with optional hex based tactical battles when they occur, Forge of Freedom provides something for every strategy gamer. Control economic development, political development with governers and foreign nations, and use your military to win the bloodiest war in US history.

Why is this game's forum so quiet?

Post by Gil R. »

There are two reasons why this forum is not exactly hopping these days.

First, "Forge of Freedom" was released in 2007, so interest has naturally dwindled as new games catch people's attention.

Second, on April 16, 2015 WCS and Matrix/Slitherine released a new Civil War game devoted to tactical battles, and reincorporating some elements of the original FOF tactical engine, which means that the war-gamer with an interest in the Civil War and discriminating taste is now more likely to be found here: tt.asp?forumid=808

I note this because, since the forum is quiet, WCS staff does not check here on a daily basis. If you have any issue, especially need for technical support that cannot be provided by Matrix (e.g., a problem with installation), please send me a private message. I respond to those within a day normally, whereas posts I might miss for a longer period.

Thank you for your support.
Michael Jordan plays ball. Charles Manson kills people. I torment eager potential customers by not sharing screenshots of "Brother Against Brother." Everyone has a talent.
