doesn't support all desktop resolutions, and doesn't like Nvidia default settings either, with AMD card not giving the same errors either, tried all combination of compatibility settings on this, seems some may get it working, while not all hardware will work, so not fully windows 10 compatible for me, as it's a driver plus brand issue, like i said, some may get it working and working well on some Nvidia cards, i did, but only by altering my screen size, don't alt tab in and out either as game doesn't like it and takes for ever and a day to them become stable and display map on screen, AMD latest card and drivers didn't give me the same amount of problems, but still can alt tab in and out, or play without jerky play, have altered many settings in game to alter this, while some make it better, some don't, so it's trial and error, and for me, no real way of guiding anyone through this easily either...

needs more testing imo, so will for now say not fully, but with more hours spent, a maybe[&o]

limited res support, 1280x1024 is max atm, so no options i can see for windowed or to alter this, needs 2nd test plus some staff help to double check on details

Thanks Zakblood. One of the few regrets I have re Windows 10 is not being able to play this game.

we yet maybe able to get around it with maybe either developer help or some smart user giving advice on settings needed or used on how to get it to work, all isn't lost totally on it yet, i'll keep trying anyway for a work around and see how it goes, i never say never[;)]

Thanks Zakblood. I have tried myself, but am no where near as computer literate as yourself. I , for one, am hoping you succeed.

altering the amount of stuff needed to get this more stable seems harder than what i first thought, seems if i move or don't move the mouse in game, and alter a few settings, for those brief seconds the game works, then as soon as i move the mouse, all is lost and game doesn't display, it's a known issue with the game in windows Vista i read somewhere on the forums, so i disabled what was needed and worked then, hoping this would also give a solution and workaround in windows 10, so far it hasn't[:(]

i can get the side map or the full map and the side view as well if i don't move, but can't get it all to happen all at once in game and move, the side box and the map preview window works very well, but if i alter the settings to get the middle and right side map working, the left pane works atm, but not at all when i get the middle map on screen, if i goto any settings pages in game, they all work, and work well in full screen as well at 1090x1080[:(]

this imo is more of a Nvidia issue than of AMD or intel for that matter, with a better chance of getting more luck with either of them, but not with Nvidia drivers, so for me i'm stuck, as windows 10 compatibility testing means i need to find a workable solution that works with all, not just one, and atm that's not going to happen, i'll keep plugging away at this, but my impression is there's something in the game that doesn't like something in the Nvidia setup, but saying this, out of the box it doesn't fully work with AMD or intel, no matter what Direct X version is installed or tested with, and i've tried a few from the release time, with no better luck with any, as the game doesn't seem to need anything else, none of the standard pre requisites have been installed or tested with it, so this is something i may have a go at testing at a later date, as it takes an hour per test to setup a clean image install of windows, this isn't something that can be done for every and a day, but while i have the time i'll keep trying and see how it goes, but atm i'm not holding out much luck for this one as yet, with neither the resolution not fully supporting more than a 2 settings, and no options for using it in windowed mode either, compatibility mode doesn't seem to do much on this one either as so far i've gone though them all with no luck[:(]

I found the solution, but I am not allowed to post the link
It's in the 1848 forum

You just have to add these files in the game's folder.
Just try to find the files looking for WineD3D+1.5.22.7z

It works ! (Compatibility Windows XP SP3)
