windows 10 compatibility testing

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

work at full screen on my settings and pc with no edit's or alteration needed on the shortcut, works straight out of the box, only minor issue noticed is if you alt tab out of the game to do something, the screen behind is altered, but if you alt tab back into the game, it works correctly, so alt tab while not supported, doesn't crash the game or alter windows, so it seems it's part of the scaling which windows does to stretch to full screen in widescreen mode, with the settings i used, and may i also mention i'm using none default DPI as shown on the first post, which is my default size for my screen, but not the default of windows 10 which is 96DPI, as i like it slightly larger for easier reading of txt as i use a 40 inch LED TV for testing and forum use.

so is fully windows 10 supported, tested mode for me is 1920x1080 widescreen User DPI Setting: 120 DPI (125 percent)
System DPI Setting: 144 DPI (150 percent)

with default tested at 96 DPI also and 2 more widescreen sizes, all worked as designed, windows 10 just scaled the game to suit.

Unfortunately, I have had significant problems with the game in Windows 10, which is a real shame. This is, without question, still the best Napoleonic Grand Strategy computer game of all time. Nothing else does what this game accomplishes, still after 11 years. So, fixing this for me would just be fantastic! I never had any problems running this game on my Windows 7 machine.

When I try to reload a game, or a few times, when trying to advance a turn, I get an "Assertion Failure" message.
A lengthy message follows showing the path to the where the error happened. I took a screen shot of it, but I can't seem to find out how to upload a picture to this forum. Any help on uploading pics here, would also be appreciated. Clicking on the little "image" button above does nothing, it seems to me.

So, I was able to figure out to post screenshot of this problem in the technical problems thread stickied above. You can see the full "Assertion Failure" message in that thread.
