Options Scripts

Hi-
I see the script options are turned off by default
from what I understand these allow historical events.
Does anyone know why these are off by default to begin with?

I have no idea, and they are off every time you start, even if you switch them on, but here is a guess.

You can not see what kind of a script it is you actually switch on or off, so maybe they point to nothing? The game uses the same motor as many others, and it wouldn't surprise me if some of those actually have described scripts there. A look at the rules for Wars of Napoleon shows it does mention scripts.
