Combat results? How to tell men lost

Post by pvthudson01 »

I really still do not understand the battle results page

Exactly how can I tell HOW MANY men were lost?

All I see are some symbols and a listing of casualties for ranged and assault listed in the form of unit symbols, but how do I tell how bad the defeat was? Or are casualty numbers withheld for some reason?

Yes, I just got this game even though the year is 2009

BoA does not include the 'men, horses, guns' loss data that is included in BoA2 [WIA], and other AGEOD games.

BoA is 'legacy'. Still supported, but no official improvements expected.

Thank you for purchasing BoA. [:)]

Not really, i woudl say "playful" not "sarcastic"
Just a little joke. [:D]
Since that old post, pvthudson01 made the jump to BoA2 judging by this article on his web

So i guess he didn't find the response offensive or anything [:)]

Good choice!

If you are willing to do a little work yourself (some modding) this game can be a lot of fun. Probably the best overall game Ageod has produced to date. But this is what you will need, IMHO.

You will need the terrain graphics mod from Jagger.

You will need the ports mod by Lodilefty.

You will need to find version 1.12a.

If you are like me, you will want to clean up a lot of interface issues, which is totally doable, as the game allows modification of virtually everything.

I modded it of and on for years, and it was great fun. I still drag it out of the closet every now and then. I have never played multiplayer, and in the end, with a few tweeks, the AI is acceptable.
