Chose approach for attack?

Post by robc04_1 »

I don't know if I will get a response as the forum has been dead for a year.

When you give your unit an attack order, it seems to chose the path it will take on its own. I have a situation where I want it to take another path since my unit is in the way for the other approach. It is the same distance either way and both are within range for this turn. Is there a way to force a unit to take a particular path when attacking?

Thanks.

I have to reach way back in the cockles of my brain for this one :) I think the path that is chosen is the only path. I believe it is based in part by the current facing of the unit. So unfortunately, you have to take a facing turn hit if you want to go another path.

Thanks for the reply. It is a shame that the player can't select from all the valid paths, but that is what I expected to hear after playing many of the scenarios without finding a solution. It is a pretty good game.
