The Canadians make contact with the Axis forces in Libya. It is not a frontal assault that scares me but another invasion.

AGC. Another line is breached and a few more Russian Rifle Corps destroyed. In my original post I said that I expected the Russians to have 10 to 12 Armour Corps. Well I counted 12 this turn and that doesn't even include what ever he may still have hidden (including in his line between Rzhev and Smolensk).

AGS. The Dnepr is breached and a Russian Tank Army overrun. But my units are starting to get worn down.

An unmitigated disaster for Russia, as expected.
All his tanks are useless at 5 move, just expensive versions of infantry armies.
Well executed as usual.

I think the Sovs might be able to hold on to Moscow here. But imo they will fold in 42 even with that. The north is pretty bad and the Axis ought to be able to cut LL. Britain is a spent force; these early landings definitely help the Sovs short term, but there is no follow up and they have practically lost the BoA.

I think the Germans can just push through the North heading for Moscow...
The Russians may hold but building all armor means not enough delaying corps.
Add to that the BOA is already nearly over...
Harry you said you were no longer going to fight in the BOA...well at least against me.

RE: HB (Axis) vs YueJin (Allies)
A couple more turns have been played; but it is late and I am too tired to edit and than post the screenshots. But suffice to say that the rumors of the Soviet collapse are a bit premature. I woefully underestimated the number of Russian Tank Armies. I now count 17 on the map and I think another hidden unit is also a tank. So far I have only be able to destroy 1, so on in fact he had at least 18 (and I think 19). There are 0 Mechanized though. Moscow will not fall in 1941. If a decisive blow is to be made it will have to wait until 1942.
As for the BOA, I have only built 5 U-Boats, to join the 3 the Axis start with or are in the queue. The British are down to 63 MS.

I was in hurry doing this turn as She Who Must Be Obeyed had chores for me and I forgot to take screenshots. As I recall the Russians retreated and I followed them up with little combat. Meanwhile the British and Germans continued to trade blows in Normandy. Shore bombardment (both offensively and defensively) took a heavy toll on my troops. Kind of wrong, IMHO, that naval power is so overpowered and air power is so under powered.

The German Counter Attacks destroy 2 British Corps (not shown) and finally bottle up (I hope) the British. As you can see German Forces in the area include an Armour, 2 Mechanized and 2 large corps. Along with the Mechanized and infantry corps that were previously lost, these are all units that are missed in Russia. Well that is not entirely true, even if the British had not invaded the Mechanized would have remained in the West anyway.

AGC. A few weak units are isolated in the swamps and a drive is made on Moscow from the South. I again rushed my turn and forgot to move a couple units to fill the gap between my Hungarian division and my Italian Mechanized. I didn't even realize this until I was editing my screenshots.
Oh yeah, for fun go ahead and count the Russian Tank Armies on this screenshot than add them to the one in the North. Then speculate how many of the still hidden units might also be Tank Armies.

AGS. Russian casualties have been relatively low over the last few turns compared to Axis casualties. Most of the German casualties have been incurred fighting the British.

RE: HB (Axis) vs YueJin (Allies)
The Canadians looked a little exposed to me in Libya. I know that they have 3 large corps and an HQ. I assumed the HQ was the unit circled in red and the other large corps was the unit circled in blue. I invaded the hex circled in green with the idea of cutting supply for the Canadians and moved in the remnants of the Italian Navy to provide shore bombardment. the result was that I overran one of the Canadian Corps. What surprised me is that it did not receive any HQ support. Can HQs not provide support through enemy hexes, or am I wrong about which of the Canadian units is the HQ?
I expect most or perhaps even all of the Italian Fleet to be sunk on my opponents turn.

In Russia I manage, with very careful planning, to force the Russian Tank Army in the North to surrender. So only another 16 or 17 to go.
