AGS. A Russian Mechanized is destroyed, but at such a high cost I don't know if it was worth it.

The British invade Morocco (sorry forgot screenshots). I also forgot screenshots of Russia.
Axis reinforcements arrive in Algeria.
The British also attack in Libya, retreating my Infantry corps. The retreat doesn't surprise me, but the level of damage exchanged (15 hits to 1) does.

My counterattacks force the British Corps to retreat. But the damage exchange is more equitable.

The Italian Fleet sorties and the badly outnumbered British Fleet unwisely intercepts.

My final attack goes my way, but at least I had the benefit of shore bombardment.

The British Retreat back to Egypt. In Morroco the British advance towards Algeria, but I am not worred yet.

RE: HB (Axis) vs MM (Allies) No MM for now
This was a very poor turn for the Axis in Russia as many attacks were repulsed with heavy losses in manpower and effectiveness. I have never done so poorly with the Axis in Russia in 1941. Other than some bad luck, I am not sure what the problem is. MM is playing a good game, but I feel that I am also beating myself by being too aggressive. One thing I am sure is that it is not the new Rules giving garrison units 2 Guns, as MM is garrisoning very few units.
Below is an example of an attack I made on a Russian Mechanized that not only failed to dislodge the enemy, but wasn't even able to cause it any real damage. Both panzer units were all at about 15 strength when the battle began and the infantry was also full strength. The odds for each attack were 4:1 or 3:1. Not the best odds admittedly, but usually good enough for armour to cause a retreat. If this was the only battle where this happened I would chalk it up to a fluke. But it is happening with alarming regularity. I have never experienced results like this before.

Here is the current Losses Report. For the Axis at this stage of the War this is not good.

Your troops look pretty tired out to me, Harry. 4:1 odds are in fact not amazing and by no means guaranteed to push back the enemy.
There comes a point in the eastern 41 push when the panzer ball just kind of runs out of gas and not even trucks can keep it going.
I admit surprise at the lack of garrisons here. Just be thankful he's not using those.
You are going to take Leningrad, at least. That's a very good result for 41. You're not going to knock out the Soviets in one go...and frankly that is the way it ought to be instead of the blowouts we were seeing in the last patch.

Well they look tired out now because I didn't take screenshots until after all 3 attacks. But they were relatively fresh going into the battle. A single 4:1 or 3:1 attack failing doesn't surprise me. But3 consecutive failed attacks scoring only 1 hit, yeah I don't see that too often.
I agree that the Axis should not be able to knock out the Russians in 41. But I pretty much have done so in every game I've played. So if it was the new Rules that were stopping me than no one would be happier than me. But in this case I don't think it is the new Rules. It is more that I am playing a very good opponent, I am getting some "bad rolls" and I am not playing very well myself. For example, I should have called off the above attack once the 1st attack failed. Even if the 2nd or 3rd attack succeeded I would not have been able to exploit it.

The Mechanized unit that thwarted me last turn resisted the first 5:1 attack. But in the end I got some measure of revenge.

I've tried the "garrison everything" approach, it doesn't work.

AGC. I isolate a single weak army and I am not even sure if it will hold.

AGS. I isolate another army in the South, but I am pretty sure that this one will not hold.
