In Russia I landed a paratrooper West of Vitebsk. This allowed me to destroy German large corps and maul a mechanized.

JUNE 18, 1943

3 MS and an escort sunk and 0 U-Boat hits. And just when I thought the BOA was won.

The situation in NW Europe before my moves. The Germans have railed several units to defend the German border. But they lacked sufficient rail to do much about my landings in Normandy and the Pas de Calais. This is why I like big invasions.

I capture 2 ports and should capture 2 more next turn. Not sure if I will even bother with Le Harve.

Rome is captured the week after D-Day. Everything is historical, except I am a year ahead of schedule.

I hope to see this fix introduced soon so that invasions with mechanized are slown down:

I followed your link. I did not know this was a bug. In fact I still don't know if it is. I am unsure from Alvaro's post of "Too many Rules" if he means this is a bug he will fix, or if he means that the game is WAD and the Rule as written in the Manual is wrong. In any event, until we know for sure I will no longer invade with Mechanized. Probably too late for this game.

However, IMHO, making mechanized cost the same 2X as armour is wrong. To be fair they should cost 1.5 times.

+1. That would seem fair and logical in view of their TOE...

You are right. I don't know if Alvaro will consider a software change or not. 1.5 times, why not. Spending more on landing ships can limit early big scale naval invasion.

I forgot to take a screenshot of NW Europe. But essentially I advance towards Paris and the Rhine.

JULY 16, 1943

5 MS sunk and no U-Boat hits.

The Germans evacuate a number of garrisons from Brittany and the Kriegsmarine sallies to escort them. A number of naval battles ensue with the RN getting the worst of it until the carriers show up.
