Big B Mod Campaign Game - Scen 197

Post by spence »

Looking for Big B Mod opponent as Japanese.

The Big B Mod divides the Chinese Army into 1/3rds: Central Army which are totally controlled by the player, Regional Forces some of which are player controlled and some of which may not move at all (unless retreated by combat), Warlord forces which may not move at all (unless retreated by combat). Also advances by either side in China require garrisons. The effect of these changes is to 'force' something of a stalemate in China.

The other major change is to increase the effectiveness of American torpedoes to 50% in Mar 1942. The 'normal' effectiveness then increases by 10% each month starting in Aug 43.

FOW - ON
Advanced Weather - ON
Allied Damage Control - ON
Player Defined Upgrades - ON or OFF at Japanese Players Option
Dec 7th Surprise - ON
Realistic R&D - ON
Reliable USN torpedoes - OFF
Set all facilities to expand - OFF
Set all Air/Land units to take Replacements - OFF
Auto Sub Operations - OFF

Animations, Combat Summaries, Combat Reports - ON

DO NOT DOWNLOAD/INSTALL STACKING LIMITS FILE when downloading scenario. The scenario works just fine without it.

Hi.. Although cannot play as I'm on a very good DBB-C game with Wineguy (only about to finish Apr '42), just wanted to let you know that Wineguy and I have just recently finished a BigB 197 scenario game. We started it in Dec of 2018, and completed it in Feb of 2022.

Game ended on Feb 19th 1945.

It was one of the best game scenarios we ever played. Wineguy was Allies and I was IJN.

Very "historical", and China was a complete stalemate (as it should be).

Just wanted to say good luck, and you will not be sorry in playing this scenario. I hope you find an opponent.

Although enjoying DBB, BigB's version is just the perfect balance.

Michael and I would LOVE to import Brian's China into the BTS Mods. Looks fantastic and REALISTIC!

Glad to see you playing Spence. How are things going with you?

Since I was here today I thought I'd ask - any luck yet with an opponent?
