Last turn, I sent a small belligerent expedition consisting of two carriers to the island of Port Blair just to poke and prod around to see what's out there. We definitely found something! Tune in to see what we hit, and what the next steps are.

After the issues with the database errors last week and what a mess that ended up being, I thought we were done with the drama. But unfortunately we get another dose of it today.

I watched the combat replay, and it seemed alright. Then as I was prepping for my analysis, I found out things were not what they seemed! Take a look at this turn, my explanation of what occurred, and let's take stock of our wins and losses this turn of which there were many.

After getting over the tumult of the turn desync, I was hoping we could return to some normalcy... but what is that in this campaign anyway?

We jumped right out of the fire and into the frying pan. Lodrik launched his much anticipated attack across the Xiang river near Changsha and the results are utterly disastrous. Thousands upon thousands of brave Chinese soldiers fell before the guns of the Imperialists...

The effects of this defeat will be felt far and wide in Southern and Central China. This completely changes the tone of the campaign and could start a cascade chain reaction of defeats which could culminate in utter destruction if we can't redraw the front lines soon.

The hits just keep coming with no let-up.

We suffer two major defeats today on the ground. Lodrik is rapidly tidying up things in the Dutch East Indies and Philippines, and he just added another continent's major city to his list of gains.

In China, Lodrik's forces press hard to outmaneuver our beleaguered forces in the Changsha area. We are moving as fast as we can but we cannot walk faster than his tanks can drive. He may beat us to the punch.

Finally, Lodrik's subs are hounding us in the Indian Ocean and making the recovery of forces a dangerous proposition.

I wouldn't want to be a few of Lodrik's sub captains right now...

We saw a complete and utter failure of Lodrik's sub captains to make any torpedoes hit today. They had multiple opportunities and managed to miss, or have dud torpedoes on every intercept they managed today. How does it fill to have garbage submarines, man?

Otherwise, a relatively quiet turn for us, with very predictable results all around the map. It was a day for us to catch our breath after nearly a week of constant pummeling and devastation. How many days will we get before the next disaster?

Another DISASTER!! I'm getting sick of saying this, and I am sounding like a broken record.

Lodrik in all his amazing clairvoyance pulled off another unbelievable sneak attack by his carriers. In its wake lay four devastated battleships and cruisers. This would be a MAJOR tactical defeat for us.

It's hard to believe that only a few months ago, Lodrik was trying to quit after the loss of the Kaga. Now he's here laying waste to my ships and snatching up every base he can in SOPAC and I am powerless to stop him. Every turn that goes by, I am in a deeper hole that is going to be harder and harder to dig out of.

So we just had our third desync in the last 10 turns. It's incredibly frustrating and all of it started when the database got corrupted/changed a while back, and there's nothing I can do about it.

The replay started off BAD but got a bit better as the turn went on, and it left me with a little bit of hope and optimism. When I fired up the actual turn file file, however, I was confronted with the fact that once again things were not what they seemed, and my BAD turn was even WORSE than I expected.

This was a turn we really needed to have. No catastrophes, no massive failures, and a chance to regroup. The last two weeks of this campaign have been nothing but a disaster. Are we starting to see some supply issues crop up for the Japanese or are they just preparing for the next evolution?

Lodrik is keeping the pressure on us in China and we keep running, but I am seeing lines forming and defensible places in front of our troops, and it's giving me hope.

In the north of China near Sian, a potential hole opens up for us to exploit, and I'm going for us.

In the Solomons, the Dutch subs prove once again why they're the best in the business and they put a tiny torpedo into an even tinier target! Tune in to see what happened this turn and what I'm thinking for the next one.

I had a feeling this was on the agenda. Lodrik has landed troops on Pago Pago! In typical fashion, it does appear he came in a little light and we may be able to hold out a while.

In China, we have some success on the ground but I'm worried I may have overcommitted a bit too much.

I've grown accustomed to bad turns, so why should this be any different?

Remember that attack we launched north of Sian the other day? Yeah, that wasn't such a great idea. We were instantly counter-attacked and basically wiped out, and now the defense of Lanchow is in question. That was a horrible idea and we may never recover from it.

And we now know where Lodrik is going with all those troops waiting at George Town and Langsa. Tune in to see the bad news..... it's no good at all.

The turn itself was relatively benign but while doing a deep-dive into my Tracker date I uncovered a potentially huge piece of intelligence which is suggesting we bagged something else during our carrier attack in the Bay of Bengal back in February. Tune in and take a look at the intel I found and decide if it's legit or fake.

We spotted what appears to be an invasion task force in the Bay of Bengal, and it's a long way from Moulmein. A gentleman named Michael Cook offered some additional insight I wasn't aware of about Japanese intel spoofing which may offer some explanation. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Looks like he moved all art from soviet from. Dont u have HR about it? If not, may i suggest move 3 or 4 chinese corps to India?

I stupidly didn't go for many HRs, and there is no paying PPs to move restricted units. He brought the bulk of Kwangtung to China and I am paying dearly for it.

The dreaded end of March Japanese invasion has commenced! Lodrik has spoofed us perfectly, drawn my attention away from where it should have been, and has caught us in a perilous situation. I'm going to need some help to figure out a way out of this one, and I'm pretty sure there isn't a way out. We may lose the campaign now.
