Oh, that reference I get. I thought it was about the lack of road continuity in the Chungking area that was brought up in the posts just ahead of that space comment.

Does the "set all specific type of planes in this TF" button not work anymore? Never sets all type to same mission for me in the same TF anymore? Have to do each one individually now? At least for recon missions it seems...

Just checked and the "Set all fighters/dive bombers (etc) in this TF" button works fine for me.

Yes, I set all recon planes in one hex by just ordering 1 squadron and press that button.

I have a question, since Kyushu is cut off from mainland Japan, does it mean transporting supplies by ship to it is the only way to re-supply the whole island of Kyushu? Like how Ceylon is to India?

Hello i have noticed many bases where automatic convoys option is greyed , for example koggala Trincomalee Calcutta Prince Rupert Vancouver and others.

Has this intentionally done or something to look at?

I know that I answered this question elsewhere (Discord?) but the supplies, resources, fuel, oil, and so on will move like it did before but not the units. So the units will have to unload, move across in non-strategic mode, then go back to strategic mode to be loaded on transports or they just load on the transports from a base on Honshu. The same movement is for the railroads and roads in China that were wiped out by the flooding.

Hmm I don't know what it is but I am finding that setting all specific type of Japanese float planes to search or recon or ASW in a TF does not always set all of the same types to that mission...

That should need a different font . . .
I just added my usual switches and things work fine....but the old-style map is...fugly... 8-)

Perhaps there are differences within the type that affect the type of mission they can fly. For example, the 3P version of the Wildcat has a camera and can fly Recon missions but I don't think other Wildcats can do that.

JanSako wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 8:32 pm I would not. 26a has really (I mean really) old scripts that are also written for a different map with different bases etc.

I think the chance is high that the AI would just break & go braindead on you, notwithstanding that you would have map issues (TF's getting stuck or going through dry land).
Does not matter as the A"I" (or better script) "goes to sleep" mostly around beginning or mid 43 anyway. And this was the case in every version I played so far, also w/ the 11.27 beta (I am in 5/43 and allied "AI" went to sleep already - only the Russians are keen on kicking some JAP arse when mega evil StalinSatan attacked peaceful empire of the sun   ) And here sadly also quitting the game does not wake up the A"I" - as eg. in AGEOD games this works (quit the game and load new the AI there may become active again) I even did not take PM or the salomones - as it was said to help the A"I" I mostly only took historical stuff (except China and lil piece of India) - but does not help

Edit: BUT this is not so bad as it sounds if you do see this game as a building/transporting and economy (sim)game... even if the Allies might not be very active the game is still cool as to get the best out of the prod and raw materials parts of the game and get the best research etc. Some fighting still can be done too.As proven by the commies who at least march forward for the "workers" united socialist revolution and red flags flying (but their air force still dying  )

Works only w/ units on DAY missions btw. Planes on night search for example will not get changed w/ the "set all" button. I don´t do night mission on ships anymore so that it works fine

Yeah I used to love the Kamikaze Bellum Pacifica map but it is now outdated. It has take some getting used to returning to the old map style but it is growing on me I do like the richer darker colors...

Looks like great refinements!

Unfortunately, I know I’m going to have to go through Purgatory to get to Paradise as I am a techno-illiterate when it comes to command lines. Last time I loaded a new version after much experimenting I only got it running at a reasonable speed on one of my computers and that was in a reduced size window.

Use the Seabee utility program to make the shortcut with the commands.
