High Number of Casualties in Uncontested Amphibious Landings

Post by s96825 »

I seem to have a high number of casualties when offloading. I know amphibious operations are dangerous but I've been landing a unit at various uncontested red dot spaces and get a high percentage of casualties. Like 50% and there is no enemy presence.

Is there something I can do to lower casualties in amphibious landings?

Preparation (planning points) for target and TF commander with better Land skill. If you land without any preparing for target, you get lots of disabled squads and such.

Later in war AGC (amphibious command ship) in hex, even better AGC with Amphibious Force HQ.

I take a guess that most of those 50% casualties are Disabled, meaning that they are not dead, just "disorganized" and need time to get back to combat effectiveness.
