I expected to take some losses, but not such a beating. I made a couple of bad mistakes, putting the A** leaders in places exposed to high amounts of enemy firepower, and I underestimated the 45mm guns of the Russian AFVs.

In the north, I can only rally, regroup and begin to shift my axis of attack.

In the south, I have to deal with those T-26 once for all: ATRs have proven they are only good to scratch the paint of Russian AFVs, so I'll have to go for DC and CC.

German Turn 4 - German Admin Segment

There is only a single squad that manages to rally: the one in the center, which routed until it reached the C* leader location.

German Turn 4 - German Fire Segment

The B* leader stack fires at the Russian squad in the north, with no effect.

German Turn 4 - German Movement

In the north, the three leaderless squads move towards the squad near the north edge: the first one (a.k.a. "the bait") takes fire from a T-26 and from the squad itself but is unharmed. The remaining two squads move Double Time to arrive adjacent to the Russian squad (and, hopefully, to engage it in CC): one is successful, the other is broken by FPF.

German Turn 4 - German Movement

(not all Russian fires are shown in the screenshot for the sake of clarity)

The moves are reported in the same sequence they were made:

1 - The C leader and a LMG-armed SS squad move west to block a possible move from the Russian remnants south-west of the VP building (and to draw fire from one of the T-26s). They take fire from the T-26 and the leader is broken and wounded.

2 - an Engineer squad Assault moves and arrives adjacent to a T-26, which fires its MA with no Effect; the other T-26 fires its CMG, also with no effect.

3 - an Engineer squad moves and arrives adjacent to the same T-26; it takes fire from a Russian squad, but - perhaps because of the hindrance - the fire has no effect

4 - an Engineer squad moves and blocks the routh path for the broken LMG-armed HS

5 - an Engineer HS moves adjacent to the T-26s, survives CMG fire and places its DC on the northernmost T-26

6 - the lone surviving squad of the A** stack moves adjacent to a Russian squad and survives its Defensive Fire unscathed

7 - two SS squads move Double time to enter CC with a third T-26; they both survive the tank Defensive Fire

South Sector

There is no Russian Defensive Fire, as all units already fired in the German Movement Segment

German Turn 4 - German Advancing Fire

The DC kills the T-26

All Engineer squads fire at the Russian squad in the western centre-south building, with no effect (4FP@+3 attacks).

German Turn 4 - Russian Rout

The LMG-armed HS is unable to rout and is eliminated

German Turn 4 - German Advance

The two SS squads enter CC with the T-26 in the center and remain locked in Melee
The SS squad in the western centre-south building and remains locked in Melee (this is good: if it killed the Russian squad, it would have taken a 20FP@+1 attack in the subsequent Russian Fire Segment).
One of the Engineer squads fails its PAATC and is pinned, but a squad and a HS pass it and kill another T-26.

I could have done better, not losing time using ATRs as AT weapons and sticking to my original plan in the north area.

I'm still undecided whether ATRs or Radios deserve the title of "Most useless piece of junk in ToTH".

I will complete the game (and the AAR) in the next days. Stay tuned.
