TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.6.4 Download)
Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.0.2 Download)
TRP v1.0.2 for Europe has been Released
This is mainly a bug fix and minor tweeks. I am keeping it small so as to not introduce anything major, my hope is the SC team will put this into the Community Pack and distribute it through steam.
I am creating a list of changes that I will start working on once this is pushed to the Community Pack. Those changes will start the push to next major release of TRP.
So in short, just trying not to introduce any new bugs and/or balance errors until they push it

- (Bug) Event 654 fixed typo
- (Bug) Political Align (by Diplomacy) minors should have their sub-minors now join
- (New) UK, will loose 100MPPs per turn once the Pacific War starts unless the UK is invaded
- (New) German Strat Bomber event changed from 6/1/1940 to 7/1/1940
- (New) Croatia Creation Event no longer date dependent. It is condition based with a random Trigger chance

Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.0.2 Download)
I ran it twice more. I do NOT get the MPP. If you would send me a email address in PM's, I would be more than happy to send you a saved game.
Germany ends the turn with 4 MPP. I hit end turn. Belgium surrenders and I get just over 100 MPPs. (106 in this example). There are more messages and eventually it says 25 plunder. After I got the 106, my total was 110. It didn't move off of 110. I get my end of turn income, which was 411 and I start the next turn with 521. The 25 isn't there. I can try to go back and look at when I got the Netherlands because I am not sure, but I don't think I got the plunder from The Hague either.
Regardless, this may not be a TRP issue and could be a base game bug for this type of reward.
Hopefully you also took a look at the plunder for Poland as well because I never saw a plunder for the surrender of Poland. I believe I did see something for Warsaw, but now I wonder if the individual city plunder is working at all.

Put it in your google drive or drop box and PM me a link on the forums here.Klydon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 4:22 pm I ran it twice more. I do NOT get the MPP. If you would send me a email address in PM's, I would be more than happy to send you a saved game.

Ok, sent you a link in a PM. (Hopefully it works).
I did some testing from saves from earlier.
I did not get any city plunder from The Hague, but did for the Netherlands falling.
I also reran the Polish part of the campaign and did get plunder from the country falling (not sure if I missed it last time or not, but whatever). The game says I got 25 MPP for plunder for Warsaw. I did not get it.
I can send you that save as well if you wish, although that one is probably a bit more dicey as there are a number of Polish units left and Poland may not surrender on the turn I have saved, although it did for me.

No bug, you got the 25mpp just like Taxxman said you got it when it calculated you full end of turn MPP and it was on the list.Klydon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 6:55 pm Ok, sent you a link in a PM. (Hopefully it works).

Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.0.2 Download)
Hmm.. What version of the game are you running and is it the Steam version or not?
I think I originally bought the game from Matrix, but usually get a steam key when it becomes available as it will automatically update the game. Current and latest Steam version available is 1.25.00. According to what I see on Matrix here, the latest version is 1.25.02, but I didn't find a change log.
I swear I have double checked and triple checked it. If I have to do screen shots to prove it, I will. I can absolutely add and at least on my version of the game, I am not getting the 25 MPP.

It's their, don't know what to tell you. The event fires and then when you get the last screen with all the MP Germany collects it adds it their. I want to believe you but this looks to be human not understanding where to look errorKlydon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 7:59 pm Hmm.. Screen shots it is.

https://i.postimg.cc/bNfCp9Pv/Plunder-107.jpg This makes it 111 MPP
https://i.postimg.cc/2yRwjrPt/End-of-turn-A.jpg
111 and 411 is 522.
No 25 MPP for Brussels falling.
Sorry, about the best I could do with the screen shots. You can't really pause the game as it goes through the end of the turn. Probably the best way to do this is to post a short video on it, but I don't have that type of software and no real way of posting it.
I am not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill and I think it might be with the version I am playing, but I am not sure. Either way, I don't believe it to be an issue with this mod and it could well have been fixed by the latest update. It was something I happen to notice as I was playing and figured it would be worth a check.

Your last screenshot shows it 25MPP Plundering Brussels. As I said this appears to be human error and not a bug.Klydon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:49 pm Screen shots it is.

So it does. What I get for not reading the fine print.
My apologies on this one.

Make a suggetion
Play with Fog of War on. It helps the AI a bit. With it off you and the AI know where everything is at all times and this really hurts the Naval aspect IMO.
Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.0.2 Download)
I know and I normally play with it on. However, when messing around/testing stuff, it is handy to watch for potential issues/behaviors. I also don't go out of my way to take advantage of it or the Allied navy would have been mostly sunk by now not to mention I would have invaded England given how wide open it is. They are sending a bunch of corps someplace. I thought at first it might be Italian East African, but now it looks like they are headed to Egypt.
Given the port and supply position there, I am wondering how the Axis are going to have much of a chance. I am guessing you don't have much control over how severe an issue might be. Either supply interdiction is on or it isn't. When it is on, it is brutal as essentially units are out of supply no matter what and there isn't anything you can do about it. I don't know if Malta can really be taken out in this scenario or not. A stacked over strength elite AA gun pretty much means air attacks are not happening. The very high supply values take a very long time to break down to try to get anywhere.
The next set of run throughs I mess around with, I will probably kick the fog of war on again.
Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.0.2 Download)
Malta is doable, just painful and tedious. The extra turns per year actually help.
You need to bang on the town and either bang or blockade the ports to drive supply down. Use Maritime bo.bers to absorb the AA fire, then medium bombers then tac.

Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.0.2 Download)
Good point on using something relatively cheap to absorb the AA fire. I have two Italian and two German subs busy driving the supply down. However, with the ports at a 12, it is going to take a long time. I absolutely do not have very good control of the seas in the area. The Royal Navy has 5 battleship/battlecruisers upgraded over by Alexandria along with a two carriers including the Ark Royal. The Italian battleships have been upgraded, but not all the battle cruisers have been upgraded yet. In addition, there are some left over French ships running around as I refused the French surrender. I don't even want to think about trying to shell Malta yet. I can't afford the damage and it won't do any good until I get the port value knocked down anyway. Maybe bring down the strategic bomber and try that after distracting the AA fire as you suggested.
The Italians already have Tunis and have made some inroads into Algiers and some German units have shown up to give them a hand, but it looks absolutely miserable in Libya for the Italians on the supply front and there isn't anything I can really do about it. I had an Italian HQ unit get bombed down to 3 points while sitting in the damaged port of Bengazi waiting to unload. Even if I landed it, I don't know that it would survive very long and certainly I won't be able to get it up to strength to help with the logistics.
There was a decision event about improving logistics in Libya, but it was going to take some time and I am not sure when it will kick in and what the effect will be. No sign of the Africa Corps yet, but even if they showed up, I don't know that I would commit them to Libya under these conditions. Maybe Tunis depending on what happens and then try to drive back across if I can do something with Malta.
Re: TRP - Total Realism Project for War in Europe (1.0.2 Download)
The last version I played the ports were still 5s.
If they are 12s then you'll have to blockade them. If you do they provide 0 supply to the unit while a ship is next to them regardless of their value. It's the town that needs some BB bombardment to drop the supply. If the Royal Navy hangs around spend the turn hitting them with the Axis air instead.
In TRP Malta is actually less important, because you can afford to place more HQs into Libya than in vanilla. 2 IT and 2 GE (1 Rommel + 1 other) should be enough. The ones sitting on low supply will still boost the others to 8.

Just saw this game engine fix when going through the ACW v1.04 change log: Fixed a National Morale bars drawing error when new Majors are created via a SURRENDER event (Lothos).
I'm assuming we don't have to go into the advanced settings and turn off the NM bars now
Also saw this fix. Must be the result of our MP test on YT when we witnessed the passive spotting anomaly of the silent mode subs: Fixed an error that would incorrectly reveal silent subs during any type of replay under FoW if they have not yet been spotted (OldCrowBalthazor).

It is good timing, wanted to take a break for the holidays. Masters of Magic comes out on December 13th and wanted to try that out.

Love the MOD.
A couple of suggestions:
1. Can motorized and mechanized infantry get a couple of soldiers on the 3D units? I don't like empty trucks. The Italian mech has nice little helmets in the truck.
2. It seems much too easy to prepare all units for attack at max strength in the west by March 1940. Maybe reduce action points by one more for infantry?
3. Increase cost of units and research slightly? 10% or so? I understand why HQs are cheaper (no armies) but it seems way too cheap.
Just some thoughts.
