Go to Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe open sc3.ini and check if you have there "#ORIGINAL_SCREEN_HEIGHT=".

Beginning of my sc3.ini file looks like this:

Code: Select all

#ORIGINAL_SCREEN_WIDTH= 3440
 #ORIGINAL_SCREEN_HEIGHT= 1440
 #WINDOW_WIDTH= 3440
 #WINDOW_HEIGHT= 1440
 #BIT_DEPTH= 32
 #FULL_SCREEN= 1

The 3440 and 1440 are display resolution in pixels. For HD display you should have there 1920 × 1080.

I could not get the game run after 1.10 upload on a new WIN10 CoreI3 PC. Now uninstalled the game and tried to reinstal the 1.00 and later uploaded the new Beta 1.10.03.
Neither of them worked - when choosing "play game" message appears SC.ini could not find unit style.

Please help... How must the working SC.ini look?

Hi Soldmax,

Sorry to hear about the trouble and if you navigate to your USER folder, and delete the SC3.ini file, it should then be automatically re-created for you and should then in theory resolve the issue for you.

Your USER folder can typically be found here:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe

I'm having the same problem, where do I find " C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe"?

This is typically where the game is installed, though you will have to change the highlighted to match your own user name:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe

I hope that helps you find it?

Do you want to give this a try:

Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Users\ and press enter.

This should bring up a list of folders. Choose the one that seems most applicable, e.g. on my PC it is called Bill, but it really depends what username your PC has been set to use.

Then click on Documents, My Games and you will hopefully then find a folder for this game.

Please let us know if this works?

Ok, it might be best if you can share a screenshot to show what you can see when you try that.

You can always email me at bill.runacre@furysoftware.com as that's probably easier than uploading images to the forum.

Then we'll go from there!
