ELO ended:

Bavre(Axis) wins vs Archmache(Allies)

Archmache went for the unusual decision to not occupy eastern Poland with the SU. While that gave 5% mobilization it also shifted Barbarossas staging area quite a bit to the east, which proved to be fatal: Leningrad+Moscow went down in late 41, followed by SU in mid 42.

ELO ended:

Firsteds (Allies) LOST to Epikepe (Axis)

Could have been an interesting game but I resigned in frustration. 5 weeks between turns. This game actually started in March 2022! I couldn't recall what my strategy was or where any of his units were after regular gaps of 3, 4 and 5 weeks. I would find my ships and transports mid-ocean and I couldn't even remember if they were heading West or East. I think it was vaguely a Pacific First strategy as Japan was in poor shape and Manila was in Allied hands. Moscow had fallen but it looked like the Russians had regrouped well and all the convoys were intact. I think China had a good game.

It will be EarlyDoors call as he does the rankings but where a player does not take a turn for 4 weeks without good reason or communication I believe you should be awarded the win.

If you prefer to play Allies thats great as well, just set up a game and send me a pm with the pw.
Ok. Grab it. Another Fall Untergang.

[ELO ENDED]

aquavita (Axis)[LOSS] versus Laurenz (Allied)[WIN]

Game ends in early 41. Fortress France seems a bit OP. aquavita played well, but I did not feel like France had even the smallest risk of capitulation at any point in this game. Just buy all the AT and AAs and bring in most of the UK troops and the German offensive bogs down quicker then in 1914.

[ELOs ENDED]

SCOLDGAMER (Axis) [LOST] vs. ThunderLizard11 (Allies) [WIN] - SG resigned Nov '42 after a few missteps like invading but not taking Hawaii and not taking DEI. Barbarosa was going a little slow with Stalingrad and other major cities still in Soviet's control. A couple interesting strategies from SG: sent very strong Italian contigent to take Estonia area - 3 armies/3 corps and 2 HQs - Italy homeland defended mostly with garrison and a few corps; kept Allies mobilzation very low by not taking Norway/Denmark with events, etc. - Norway flipped on own because of Allies raiding off coast. Overall though Axis was far from out of this one but SG reported that he's taking a break from SC:WaW for now - hopefully he'll be back again soon as he's an excellent player.

Rookey (Allies) [WIN] vs. Thunderlizard11 (Axis) [LOSS] - Axis resigned May '45 with Berlin about to fall and Japan getting pushed back in China and SE Asia (DEI gone). Solid game by Rookey with balance between pushing Japan back and attacking Germany. France was ignored and instead Italy taken down and then direct landings in Northern Germany. Counterattacks against Germans in Russia west of Perm turned the tide for Allies. HQ taken out and Germans not able to keep momentum going and entire attack force decimated in April/May '45.

[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs OLDSCGAMER (Allies) --- Chinese had a rough outing. They were gonna surrender early 1943, Japanese Air + crack units caused lots of death. Had to be depressing for my opponent. In the rest of Pacific, Japanese did not conduct Pearl Harbor. USA didn't join until April 1942, since FDR loaded up the Island, could tell by the penalty.

Germans did the North Africa dance, able to take Holy Lands.

Russia was doing okay in late 1942

British put too much into North Africa/Iraq, thus not alot help to Russia.
Yanks were poised in Pacific, but no Operation Torch prep.

Allies surrender in late 1942, the early years, made things appear bleak. Russians need US help.
