Re: Unfortunate Son's counters

Post by Unfortunate Son »

Hi everyone, sorry it has been a while since I posted new counters. Almost didn't want to work on the Soviet counters in light of what is happening in Ukraine. I know I need to continue to press ahead with them. I have already posted most of the aircraft in an earlier post.

Here are the grounds units thus far. The background color has changed a bit from the previous posting of the Soviet aircraft. I don't want the red background color to be to pink or cherry red or feel like Christmas colors.

Damn sweet! Btw don't let Stalin's grandchild thwart your project...though I felt the same way about taking a pause with wargaming for a bit last month.
Anyway, looks great. Get these Soviets done and get me a bit map file....and I will feature them on YT in all their glory.
You deserve a Hero Worker Award! :D

Hi,
congrats on the new batch of those beautiful sets! I especially enjoy the airborne and SF units, done with such a taste!
I also really appreciate your color taste, those sets really look aesthetically!
Fun fact, Old Crow will finally quit with his NATO counters habit:P
One more time, congrats!

Thanks Jazon,

Old Crow better use my counters once they are completed. Otherwise I might have to unsubscribe from his UT Chanel. :D

I have some cool ideas for the US Marines counter as well as others. Hopefully soon the SC community will enjoy using them as their new counter style.

You two are funny! Yes, yes, I am a bit obsessive with the NATO counter thing....I know. Hard for a tiger to change his stripes to spots like a leopard, but maybe some magic wrought here by Unfortunate Son and this counter set may do the trick. :D
Still, hard to break a habit with getting deep in the symbology here. Its almost like dabbling in Qabbala <=^=>

Since the forum has been updated thought I would try to post better in game screen shots of the counters in the game.

The HQ counter in this image is not the latest version. I have added a gold bar to the bottom similar to the green bar on infantry counters.

I will be posting Soviet counters soon!
Damn these look good! I concur OCB you better use these in your YouTube games or we will fight you!

The Soviet counters look brilliant as per earlier ones. You should be congratulated again on your efforts. Yes mate I hear you with what is going on in the world. Wargaming is one of the things keeping me sane. Thanks again and I am sure all the strategic command players would appreciate your counters. Can't wait to we can use.
