Logistics Pickup Point confusion

Post by ooomalley »

[Oceania 1.20q] See attached image.

Why is the tank at hex A trying to use hex B as its Pickup Point? It's sitting on a road with plenty of logistics that connected to it's SHQ (and also connected to hex B, if that matters).

Other details that may be confusing things:
* It's on another continent from the SHQ; supply is provided both by an air bridge and a naval transport contract.
* The zone it's in does have the option to provide local supply.
* The zone is part of a different SHQ, so the unit is in a different SHQ's "territory".

That does look weird. Lacking ammo can be explained by the fact that the SHQ didn't have enough last turn (whole stock was sent) and the zone didn't have any, but in fuel's case, the SHQ didn't send any even though it had 3299 left over. And fuel should be free to transport over land.

Thanks for taking a look. I never figured it out. I was able to basically resolve it by transferring the units to the local (3rd) SHQ, so that's a clue that it's got something to do with the remote SHQ.

IDK but is this a graphics mod? That pink sea and those autumn-looking forest backgrounds look nice.

No, not a mod. Various planetary attributes (star type, atmosphere, etc...) can cause the terrain and seas to be recolored. On rare occasions you can get some pretty wild combinations.

It isn't, unless you mean 1rst SHQ.
* The zone it's in does have the option to provide local supply.
But the Zone Belgica didn't have ammo nor fuel in storage anyway. (It might matter for a bug ?)
* The zone is part of a different SHQ, so the unit is in a different SHQ's "territory".
It isn't, they are both in the 3rd SHQ, unless you meant "1rst SHQ" by "SHQ" ?

3rd SHQ had plenty of ammo... but sent none of it ?! This might be the bug or related to it - for some reason the 1rst Light Armor Brigade tried to get resupplied from 1rst rather than 3rd SHQ ?! Are you sure you didn't change its SQH from 1rst to 3rd this turn ? (Is there anywhere we can see that history ??)

But that's already the case in the save for the 1rst Light Armor Brigade ??

While it's free, if you run out of strategic logipoints, and/or like here lack operational logistic action points, you won't get resupplied properly.

That's pretty cool. I've played about ten games so far and haven't seen this yet.
